It is Wednesday my dudes, and that usually means we get up to absolutely nothing, but for once it was very productive.
This morning, I helped out Lucy with her show me tell me questions for her driving test this Friday which was fun, considering that I start lessons this year on my birthday as you can tell by how monotone I am I’m not looking forward to it at all…
However, whilst that hour passed Millie turned up back from her Maths or English lesson, I can never remember as I don’t really care about what she’s doing as long as it’s productive.
We then went on the rehearse, we went through the whole of our set apart from “Take Me With U”, I don’t think it’s going to work without a keys player because there’s a gap we can’t fill as a guitar and bass. In Prince’s band they have two key players and they only just about manage to recreate their songs live, but I’m open for a challenge and trying out. If it sounds awful I’m open to scrapping it and putting in a different song odd ‘Purple Rain’.
We recorded “When Doves Cry” and “Purple Rain”, they went okay ignore mine and Lucy’s amazing backing vocals, and me completely forgetting there’s a solo in “Purple Rain” apart from that they’re pretty ace:
We then finished our day with a lovely theory lesson with a theory lesson with Chris, but as I have done my grade one theory it was sitting around for an hour, I couldn’t have thought of anything more productive….
