Chris had a new jumper today, that baffled me, suits him anyway and it’s a change from black and navy everyday…

We started off today with Music Business, because I had finished my essay the week before I got started on the next one about Copyright and it’s huge significance within the Music Industry.

Chris went through the assignment brief with us quickly just to make sure we know what we are doing, I knew the majority of things we had to do but wearing a costume for a performances is a new one, I’m not a costume person but I’ll give it a go if it helps portray the image our band are putting across.

Considering our gig is at the Ashcroft Arts Centre, I’m going to attempt to get as many as my friends, family and ex-teachers down to watch me play some Prince songs and hopefully look like a member of The Revolution. Right, so if Ben doesn’t come this time I may beg Chris to goto his door and drag him down, not too sure on that one yet, but after three times of asking Ben to come I’m getting slightly upset of waiting for him to turn up.

Our drummer wasn’t in today due to a migraine which is completely understandable, and our singer won’t be in until after half term which is fine also. They can both have as much time as they want to recover because after half term we are going to be working to the bone getting these songs to the best of our abilities, because we should be striving to be the best!

Jake from the HNC came in and drummed for our first rehearsal of the day, whilst Chris played the bass line to “When Doves Cry”, Lewis hasn’t been taught it yet but after this session he should get the feel of it and be able to go home after it and able to learn the structure and form.

Jake picked up the groove in about 5 minutes of listening to the song which was very impressive, but he wasn’t able to do the big drum filly part which me and Chris enjoy way to much. We managed to get through the song three times smoothly and at the end of it Lewis got the feel for the bass line, we then chose to sit outside in the corridor for the rest of the session whilst he figured out the structure, I sat and did nothing as Monday’s…
